We like to do things a little differently here at Greyfriars and our sparkling Sauvignon Blanc represents exactly this. We are the only vineyard and winery (as far as we know) who produces this unique bottle of bubbly, with the grapes all grown on the south facing Hogsback slopes at our Monskhatch Site.
Tasting Notes & Food Pairing
This third release of our “SB” is a refreshing sparkling wine with deliciously English Sauvignon Blanc aromas of nettle, gooseberry & grass, heightened by flavours on the palate that deliver a savoury note. Soft and dry with a lovely sparkle, the wine is bright and fresh with hints of soft greengage and tomato leaf.
This wine works incredibly well on its own as an aperitif but it will also pair beautifully with pan- fried Dover sole with lemon and caper butter or grilled chicken breast with lemon and thyme, fresh seafood starters, and mild creamy cheeses.
