Greyfriars is one of an incredibly small number of vineyards in this country which
both grow and produce Sauvignon Blanc,
10 years on since planting the combination of the vines’ maturity and our increasing understanding of how to get the best out of them on our site means that every year our Sauvignon Blanc seems to get better and better.

This wonderfully varietal wine displays a delicate pale colour and ripe herbaceous notes of freshly cut grass and elderflower before moving to aromas of gooseberries and creamy notes. The palate boasts sweet elderflower flavours that give way to lovely grassy and green bell pepper notes. The long finish of gooseberry fool highlights the balance achieved by the combination of the residual sugar and delightful freshness.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairing

This wine is wonderful by itself when nicely chilled but would work a treat both in and with a pea and broad bean risotto, or with an asparagus salad when in season.

Winemaking Techniques

The grapes for this wine were machine harvested on 29th September 2025 from our Golden Old Plot. The fruit was soaked for 18 hours before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

This wine was bottled in February 2026 and released in Spring 2026.
