Reserve Chardonnay
Reserve wine is held back in tank to blend with future vintages, in order to smooth variations between individual years and to add richness and complexity to the final bottling. The resulting blend of base wines from multiple years to create a sparkling wine is usually referred to as non-vintage (“NV”) or multi-vintage (“MV”).
During blending this Winter, we were astonished by the quality, richness and complexity of the Chardonnay ‘Reserve’ and after amazing feedback from the rest of the team, we decided to bottle a limited-edition bottling of about 1,100 bottles, consisting of a blend of 11 Greyfriars Chardonnay vintages going back from 2024 to 2014.
