How It Works
What to expect on a Greyfriars Vineyard Winery and Cave Tour and Tasting:
THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE AT OUR MONKSHATCH WINERY SITE - NOT OUR USUAL SITE OFF THE A31 HOG'S BACK. THE LOCATION IS MENTIONED IN THE EVENT DESCRIPTION BUT PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU ARE UNSURE.
The winery and cave tour with wine tasting will take visitors on a relaxed walk around our Monkshatch vineyard site and, for the first time ever, includes a look at our winery and chalk cave. The experience includes tutored tastings of several of our award winning sparkling and still wines. The tastings will normally take place throughout the tour.
Cost £22 per person, approx 90 minutes - 120 minutes. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours for the entire experience including post-tour purchases.
We offer all tour participants a special discount on wine purchased after the tour and you also receive a souvenir Greyfriars tasting glass to take home with you.
Please note that some of this event takes place outdoors and you will be part of a group tour that involves walking around a vineyard and winery on slightly bumpy terrain with a moderate incline and sustained periods of standing.
PLEASE NOTE:
We kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before the event is due to begin. Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee late arrivals access to the tour.
Please note that you will be part of a group tour and you will be standing for most of the event.
Regretfully, our guided tour and tasting events are not suitable for children under the age of 18 and pets (including dogs).
TICKET AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds on our tour tickets/vouchers. If you do not show up for a tour without letting us know five working days in advance then we are unable to offer any exchange for an alternative tour date. We may cancel the tour due to exceptionally low-enrolment, extreme inclement weather, or any other circumstances which would make the event unviable. We would provide attendees with an alternative date in this case. If a member of your group is unable to attend, we would be happy to offer them an alternative date, provided we are given five working days notice of their absence. We reserve the right to postpone/amend the start time of tours as required.
