We produce very small batches of still Chardonnay from our oldest plots in only the ripest of vintages.
This limited-edition release of only 1,400 bottles comes from the small but exquisitely formed 2022 vintage. The name, Goldenford, honours the Saxon name for Guildford and was the winning entry in a competition to create a name for this unique wine.
This elegant yet generous wine is bursting with aromas of ripe stone fruit such as white peach and nectarine, alongside a sprinkling of vanilla from the well-integrated oak ageing.
Goldenford Still Chardonnay 2022
After completing fermentation, this wine went through Malolactic Fermentation in barrel (3months). It was then aged in barrel for a further 13 months before bottling - total 16 months in barrel.
